Kuzco is really just a emperor that summons Pacha from a village and to tell him that his home is going to soon be destroyed to make room for Kuzco's brand new summer home. Kuzco's adviser, Yzma, strives to poison Kuzco and turns him into a llama, who ends up in the village of Pacha. Pacha offers to help Kuzco so they make an unlikely partnership, and when he does not ruin his property.
